Virus- Part 1 of 4- Introduction

Virus Computer|Viruses- Your Anti-virus software is probably worthless. Yeah, that’s right I said worthless.

Why? When was the last time you upgraded AND updated your manufacturer’s product? Was it a month ago? Don’t know? Can’t remember? Have you ever properly configured your Anti-virus software for optimum protection? No?

Has your yearly Anti-virus subscription expired? Did you ignore the frequent reminders to renew your subscription? Yes? Are you sure that you actually completed the renewal process? No? Are you suffering from a virus computer?

I like that term. It gets your attention more readily than the term computer virus. Therefore we will use virus computer or virus, computer or virus by computer as appropriate.

If you are AOL subscriber have you been lulled into a false sense of security by the AOL Anti-virus and Spyware Television commercials?

If you answered Yes to any of the questions above then your Anti-virus software is worthless and the front door of your computer is unlocked. Your Welcome Mat is out for the Virus Bad Guys (VBG) worldwide and their virus computer attacks.

There are over 90,00 known viruses “in the wild”. Most, but not all are classified as low risk. However, and more importantly, it takes only ONE virus unknown to your Anti-virus software to seriously damage your data or computer.

What was that, you don’t have Anti-virus software? Anyone that doesn’t have Anti-virus software installed on his or her computer(s) may have a "cyber-death wish." Maybe you relish playing “Russian Roulette” with a virus computer.

It’s not a matter of IF something’s going to happen, but WHEN. Anti-virus software is cheap, only $40 to $50. What are you waiting for?

However simply having the software is not nearly enough.
